The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?

I had a wonderful time at GLS. The school is centrally located in funky Prenzlauer berg with loads of transit close by. The classrooms are small, with a maximum of 12 students per room which provided a great space to learn. I didn't realize that it was full immersion, that no English would be spoken in class (!) and as a beginner this was VERY difficult the first couple of days, but surprisingly you settle into it, and it becomes another way to learn which was great! My teachers were amazing! Patient, funny, kind and really want to help you learn.

I don't have any bad feedback except the internet connection was quite unreliable and did cause some disruptions in class for a couple of days. However thanks to the resourcefulness of our teachers that did not slow down the learning!

I did not stay at GLS campus; I booked accommodation on airbnb about 15 minutes away from the school. the GLS accommodation options were out of my budget price wise, and booking on airbnb was about a quarter of the price of staying on campus.

I did not participate in any of the after school activities however was quite impressed by the variety of activities that the school puts on.

Your recommendations for other students

Be prepared for full immersion in German, there will be no English in class. Be open to this way of teaching and learning - at first it's really hard (if you're a beginner like me) but it ends up being a really valuable way of learning and fast tracks your German!
